Gamgee Clan S

This was so much fun. We got to go on the computer and do our math by editing the wiki page and posting notes. We worked with a partner instead of in a group this time. Mrs. B had to help some of but that was o.k. we all finished the activity. If we got some things really wrong we could get help and then go back on the site and redo the answer if we needed to.
We made graphs and tables and calculated functions. I liked to census website it was cool.
Some of the answers let us go to other sites which were related to what we have been learning in class. Then there were some that let us go to sites where you could play games. They were math games but still fun.
We answered questions about graphs and calculated functions and equations related to travel and the populations of cultures and places at different times. some of the equations were hard but working together helped. We cold also use the MM's if we needed to to help us better see the answer.
My partner kept wanting to play the games for as long time, I had to keep reminding her that we wanted to win so that she would go to the next question. I had fun working with her, she is funny.
I really liked this activity because we got to practice the skills we learned in class. We made graphs and tables and we also looked at data and answered questions over it. I had a hard time with the formula questions but I will keep practicing.

Baggins Clan A

Our math class wiki page was set up with questions and equations which we were required to answer with a partner. We had to use the different things we had already learned in class to get the right answers. We could not just guess or use a calculator because we had to make notes on the wiki when we changed it and how we got to the answer we choose. Mrs B was around the room helping us when we needed it.
Two of the equations were about changing miles per hour to kilometers per hour. This is cool Knowing how to calculate this will be use full in Canada if I ever go. There were questions about graphs and what the information on them meant. I recognized some of the information on one of the graphs, it came from the Census site. We used some of the data from this sit in class before. We also got to look at more of it by answering one of the questions.
Some of the sites that we got to explore after answering the questions were really neat. They were math sites and on some of them you could play games.
Working with a partner was fun and hard, we had to take turns editing the wiki and calculating the answers, I don't like to do math so calculating was hard for me.
The best part of the activity was winning. My partner is really good in math so we won the race!
I liked the activity a lot and want to do it again for other lessons.
What I liked best about this activity was the graphs, I like to see the data all together and reading graphs by other people is fun to. I also got a chance to practice other math skills and it did not seem like work this way.
